This past winter my wife and I decided it was time to sell our home and start a new adventure. Our goal was to have our house ready to sell and listed on the market by June 1, 2019. In early May, we narrowed our list of potential real estate brokers to three and setup an interview time with each. Two of the brokers were highly recommended agents in the area we live in and the third one was one my wife discovered by reading a glowing review about a broker on the social media site, Nextdoor Neighborhood. The first broker we interviewed was Michael Jackman of Providencia Real Estate Services. He was the one who had the glowing review on Nextdoor Neighborhood. Michael and the owner of Providencia show up at our house on May 6th, for our interview. My wife and I were totally blown away by Michael’s professionalism, organizational and communication skills. Michael came to our meeting with a set agenda and a detailed report regarding the sale of our home. Within the report was a comparative market analysis to provide us with a listing price range for the sale of our house. He then walked us through all the steps involved in preparation for listing and selling our house. He informed us that his sales commission was only 1% instead of the typical 3% commission charged by brokers. He also said he would pay for and have an appraisal of our property done prior to putting our house on the market. By the time our meeting concluded my wife and I both concluded that Michael Jackman was the right broker for us. Shortly after hiring Michael Jackman he provided us with a detailed schedule of events with specific dates of each milestone that would take place before formal listing of the house. His organization skills and attention to detail made the total process painless. Every milestone on the schedule was accomplished as planned. The final milestone before listing and probably the most important one was finalizing the sale price for our house. Michael provided his professional expertise and guidance but he ultimately said the decision was ours. His main goal was that we establish a price that would generate interest in the house but didn’t leave any money on the table in the process. Our house was entered into the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) on May 30th. Michael was very aggressive in the marking of our house. He held a Neighborhood Open House on May 31st and Public Open Houses on June 1st and 2nd. My wife and I were out of town during the Open Houses, but Michael was in constant contact with us via phone, texts and emails. We received two formal offers during the Open House and Michael carefully analyzed both offers and provided use with the pros and cons of each. We ultimately chose the first offer we received and Michael concurred with our decision. During the closing process Michael kept us fully informed on the progress of removing the contingencies within the contract. Because of Michael’s due diligence the closing process went smoothly and the sale our house was completed on per plan on June 28, 2019. In the end our house sold for $20,000 over an asking price we were totally comfortable with. We totally credit Michael Jackman for getting us top dollar for our house. We have never been involved with a house sale that was as well planned and executed as this one and again Michael gets the credit. His communication with us for beginning to end made the entire process as stress free as possible. We can’t say enough good things about Michael Jackman as a Real Estate professional and person, so if you’re looking to sell our buy a home look no further than Michael Jackman and Providencia Real Estate Services.
